Korean officials are not entangled with teasers and subversive campaigns to test our patience, they give us directly the first image of the New KIA Cee'd, which will debut on the European market at the Geneva Motor Show 2012. We speak, therefore, the continuation of a very interesting success stories at European level in the compact class.
As everyone expected, the technical platform from the New KIA Cee'd comes from "brother" Hyundai i30. It's just that this time, the stylistic difference level is much higher than in previous generations of Cee'd and i30.
The new model has a relatively aggressive front, relying more onon a family character than a sports spirit, in comparison with Kia Rio, for example. The front grille is already known as the new KIA models, compared with the Hyundai i30, Kia Cee'd has fewer curves, inspiring more strength than elegance.
Even if we have only this image, you can see that the designers kept the idea of the third side window lower edge of which is still way up in a curve that become almost a Cee'd trademark. It remains to be seen whether the rear will be more individualized than the current model and designers will stake everything on a familiar character, without excesses.
