2013 Ford Explorer Sport Edition

Ford presents at the 2012 New York Auto Show the top version of the Ford Explorer SUV, already reached the fifth generation. But, unfortunately for those interested, this version will be available only for U.S. market.
By far the most important and at the same time, the most interesting modification of the new Explorer Sport Edition V6 EcoBoost twin-turbo 3.5-liter, able to produce "at least" 350 hp, as Ford officials say that not yet provided accurate data for this purpose.

American SUV engine will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, which can be ordered and the paddles located behind the wheel. Because of EcoBoost technology and automatic gearbox, fuel consumption will be 14.7 l/100 km city and 10.7 l/100 km on the highway, one small compared to its American competitors such as Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango.

Also, to the ordinary model, Ford Explorer Sport Edition will have room to maneuver, especially because it has a sports chassis and power steering. In addition, Sport Edition version will be a very normal Explorer black front grille, the 20-inch wheels with inscription Sport and mirror housings.

As the outside, customers can choose between 4 colors with pompous names: Ruby Red Clearcoat Metallic, White Platinum Metallic Tric-coat, Tuxedo Black Metallic and Ingot Silver Metallic. Inside, the SUV will have Charcoal black leather, available with inserts and overwhelming Sienna Sport logo.

Prices details for Ford Explorer Sport Edition will be public after the New York Auto Show, held this month between 6th and 15th of April.
